welcome to ELTAI

about us

Our History

Padmashri S. Natarajan was a noted educator in India and one of the prominent voices in the English education community. In 1974, ELTAI was started with the intention of spreading all of that knowledge to the over 1 billion people in India. We want to help build a more standardized approach to English education to improve literacy throughout the country.

There have been many obstacles to a fully literate population, but we know that this does not have to be the standard. We can improve on teaching techniques and serve the next generation in this great country.

Our Mission

Perfect literacy would be a pretty cool thing to achieve, but that might be about as easy as world peace. We are just working little by little to improve English speaking in India and we are helping teachers get jobs.

It is important that we help our teachers as much as we help the students because they are all in this process together. Education starts with the educators and we hope to create better educators.
